In 2015, the creatives at Something Massive pitched Regal Cinemas on a new approach to social and digital. Our goal was to leverage the visual nature of platforms like Instagram and Snapchat, and to give Regal a clear POV that would help them stand out in a crowded movie marketplace. Regal | INSTAGRAM

On Instagram, we created a number of series to build out this "Movie Fan" POV. I was the sole writer on the Regal account for every platform, and never had so much fun writing social and concepting posts.


REGAL | SNAPCHAT

For the first time ever, we launched Regal on Snapchat, creating ongoing quizzes that created an instant fan base. We teased quizzes on Instagram, creating a multi-platform experience and organic fanbase.


REGAL | THE RESULTS

Regal is now at an all-time high with engagement on Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and Tumblr. Typical likes and comments on Instagram went from 100-200 in 2014 to anywhere from 1-10k+ on any given post. Regal now has 106,000+ subscribers on YouTube, with 69+ million video views.
